Before you select your next movie, check out the IMDB’s (Internet Movie Database) list of the top 250 movies of all time
The movies in this list are ranked based on ordinary peoples’ votes. Wouldn’t you rather rely on the opinions of thousands of open-minded voters, rather than one cynical critic? You can vote on movies yourself and write short reviews by signing up for an IMDB account.
Before going to the video store, use this resource to create a list of five or so movies. That way you’ll be prepared so you don’t waste time browsing titles and trying to judge the value of a movie based on the short description found on the back.
Of course, there’s no guarantee that you’ll enjoy a movie found in this list. But your chances of finding a decent movie here are better than by randomly selecting one at the video store.
